Lakers Club History
The Leopold Lakers Basketball Club was first formed by the Corio Bay Basketball Association on 17th October, 1994. Leopold Lakers was one of the founding Clubs of the Association.
WELCOME
Welcome to the official home of the Leopold Lakers Basketball Club (LLBC) or more affectionately known by locals as "The Lakers".
We are a family friendly, volunteer run community basketball club located in the suburb of Leopold, Geelong, Victoria, Australia.
Our club is a member of Bellarine Peninsula Basketball Association (BPBA) and Geelong United (GUB) and so means our teams play in both Bellarine and Geelong community competitions.
We have two seasons of basketball per year - Summer and Winter.
The club provides junior and senior players of all ages and abilities the chance to play basketball.
Everyone has the opportunity to participate, develop and enjoy the game of basketball in accordance with their individual abilities and aspirations, within a safe and encouraging environment.
The club emphasises a fair, friendly and inclusive environment that all club members can be proud to be part of.
The club currently have 34 teams participating in the Bellarine Peninsula Basketball and Geelong Basketball Association competitions with numbers growing each season.
